An application for a writ in a Texas eviction is a legal document filed by a landlord to request court-authorized assistance in physically removing a tenant from a rental property. Once the court has ruled in favor of the landlord in an eviction case, they can apply for a writ of possession or a writ of execution, which empowers law enforcement to enforce the eviction order and reclaim possession of the property.
